Welcome to Parentfile! This privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) is to help you understand what information Parentfile collects, how Parentfile uses it, how it may be shared and what choices and rights you have with respect to your information. This Privacy Policy governs the Site (the “Site”) and other digital products and services (collectively, “Services”) offered by Aspatore Ventures, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, doing business as Parentfile (“Parentfile,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Additionally, our Terms of Service located at Terms And Conditions are incorporated by reference into this Privacy Policy.
By using the Site you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any of the terms of this Privacy Policy, you should not use the Site.
When you use the Services, we collect information that you provide us directly or automatically. We also may collect information about you from third parties or that is publicly available.
Account Registration
While you can visit and browse the Parentfile Site without registering, some of our Services require you to register an account and create a user profile. When you register an account to use the Services, you voluntarily give us certain information, such as your name, title, address, username, password, contact information and other information used to create your user profile.
Profile Information
Information that we collect during account registration is used to create your user and to enable you to use the Services. You can edit and customize the information in your profile by going to your account and profile settings. If you provide us with profile information and you do not see a visibility setting, that information is public.
Content you Provide
When you use the Services, you may voluntarily provide us with additional information, including, without limitation, photos or other images that you upload, correspondence with Parentfile or other users, comments and replies to comments, annotations on photos or images, health information such as your blood type and/or the blood type of your children or information from doctors’ visits, family history information, stories, digital versions of important and sensitive documents that may or may not contain personal information such as your and/or your child’s birth certificate or social security card.
Purchases and Sales
If you make a purchase using the Services or to make sales, you provide us with your payment or banking information, such as your credit card information, in order to complete your transactions.
Communications with Parentfile
If you contact Parentfile, either through our online platform, e-mail or otherwise, we may keep your message, e-mail address and contact information to respond to your request.
Location Information
If you are accessing the Services through a mobile device, you can choose to share your device’s location with us in order to enable location-based features in the Services.
Log Data
When you use the Services, our servers automatically record information (“Log Data”), including information that your browser sends whenever you visit a Site. This Log Data may include your IP address, the address of the web pages you visited that had Parentfile features, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, how you used the Services, and cookie data.
Session Content
When you use the Services to connect with others who list their products and services on Parentfile’s platform, our servers automatically record conversations occurring on the Parentfile platform to ensure compliance with Parentfile guidelines and for monitoring, supervision, and quality assurance and training purposes. We may also email you and others directly if you enter your email address on our Site.
Cookie Data
Depending on how you are accessing the Services, we may use “cookies” (a small text file sent by your computer each time you visit our Services, unique to your account or your browser) or similar technologies to record Log Data. When we use cookies, we may use “session” cookies (that last until you close your browser) or “persistent” cookies (that last until you or your browser delete them). You can set your browser to refuse to accept cookies. However, if you choose to refuse cookies, some features of the Services may not function properly. We sometimes use cookies to show you advertisements for our products across the Internet. You may opt-out of these ads by clicking on the “Ad-Choices” information box in the top right hand corner of these advertisements.
Device Information
In addition to Log Data, we may also collect information about the device on which you are using the Services, including what type of device it is, what operating system you are using, device settings, unique device identifiers, and crash data. Whether we collect some or all of this information often depends on what type of device you’re using and its settings.
Do Not Track
Your browser may support a “Do Not Track” option that can be selected in your browser settings, which sends a signal to Sites you visit informing them that you do not want certain information about your visit to be collected. At this time we do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, as we await the work of interested stakeholders and others to develop standards for how such signals should be interpreted.
Analytics and Usage
We use data analytics and work with certain third party service providers, such as Google Analytics, to help us understand and improve the use of our Services. These third party service providers may collect information sent by your device as part of a web page request, such as cookies or your IP address. Third party ad partners may also share information with us to help us measure and tailor ads.
Information from Other Services
You may give us permission to access your information in other services. For example, you may link one or more of your social media accounts to the Services, which allows us to obtain information from those accounts (such as your friends or contacts). The information we obtain from those services depends on your settings and their privacy policies.
We use the information we collect to deliver, support and improve the Services. For example, we display content that you upload and post publicly and facilitate communications and transactions between you and other users. We also use the information we collect to offer you customized content, for example, based on your interests and content you post. We also use your information to notify you about updates to the Services, monitor and test the Services, remember your login information, and contact you for marketing purposes. You also grant Parentfile temporary access to your account so we can troubleshoot problems or help enter content in on your behalf. You understand we may also use your information for any purpose you authorize or request. If you wish to review, amend or remove any of the Data which we hold about you, or update your marketing preferences, please contact us by e-mail at [email protected]. You understand that the removal of your Data may mean that we can no longer provide subscription services to you.
